After starting the season at 1-11, the Eclipse went on a 16-4 run to finish the season with a record of 17-15 and capture the Maryland State Championship in Easton, MD. Congratulations to all the players and the fans on an exciting year!

Welcome to the official home of the Elkton Eclipse, a vintage base ball (yes, it used to be two words!) team located in Elkton, Maryland. The Eclipse is dedicated to bringing history to life by playing base ball as it was played in the 19th Century. Look around our website. Read about the players and the history of the Eclipse (a real team from Elkton over 140 years ago!) and about the growing excitement around vintage base ball.

After that, check out our schedule so that you can join us one afternoon to see what base ball was like in the 19th Century; when the game was played by gentlemen and admission was only 15 cents (and it still is!).

Each game is attended by various members of the Elk Landing Historical Society who dress and act as if it were the 1860s, making a day at the ball field an educational and unforgettable experience for the whole family.
